Idaho State University Resources Research Project Idaho State University has several fantastic qualities. Its Pharmacy Program is one of the best in the country and it has many other great programs for students to choose from. The problem for students is sometimes they do not know what major they should choose or career path they should follow. Idaho State has a number of helpful options for student who need to deiced on their major and pick a career path. These include the Career Center and Student Success Center located on campus, the Idaho State University website, and helpful people all around campus. I am currently an undeclared student at Idaho State University who is trying to find a career path. This has not been an easy task for†¦show more content†¦Dr. Mark McBeth states â€Å"Most departments will work with students helping them think though how a particular major would impact a student s career options.† There are several different departments on campus th e best way to located them is by going on Idaho State University website and type a particular subject in the search bar or talk to a Professor or the Chair in a certain department. Brenden Carlyle, a 2014 graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in Political Science, said â€Å"I already had an idea that I wanted to major in Political Science but, it was not a total go until after talking to some professors in the Political Science department. That’s when my passion truly developed†. Idaho State University has some good option online when looking for help online. At the Career Center website it shows different resources a student can utilize. These resources include the Career Path Internship Program. The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities for students to be employed both on and off campus as interns in positions concomitant with their academic and professional interests. Focus is another program for online career and education planning, â€Å"What Can I Do With This Major†? This program helps students learn about the typical career areas and the types of employers who hire people with each major, as well as strategies to make you a more marketable candidate.
